Strychnine has a new bass player! The fresh blood goes by the name Lonneke Geerlings. We are very pleased to welcome her on board. You can check her out at our next gig on the 14th of March in Boxmeer. Strychnine is now also represented on the dutch community website; Hyves. Strychnine is working hard to finish the album which can be expected within several months. Meanwhile there is the possibility to see us live again, at the Join in Noordwijk the 22nd. See you there!

Strychnine entering the Studio	05-06-2007
Strychnine has planned some new recording sessions. New songs will be recorded on the 23rd of July in the moscouw studio in Utrecht. More information will be made public through this website as soon as possible. For now, see you in Katwijk and Haarlem at our shows!

First of all, sorry about the lack of updates during the last couple of months. Due to holidays and a very busy webmaster, the website was a little bit forgotten. Strychine however, has been just as active as always which leads us to the following news updates. Our latest cd is now also available online via: www.CDshark.com. So what are you waiting for, order your copy if you don't already own it ;) Strychine can now also be found on the very popular community website, myspace. You can visit us at: www.myspace.com/strychninestonerrock Strychnine on the road. Strychnine will do some gigs in the very near future, be sure to check us out in Katwijk the 22nd and in Heemstede the 30th. Especially in Katwijk we will need your support, because we're battling for the Grote Prijs van de Bollenstreek that evening. Check the gigs section for more info about our upcoming and past gigs. Strychnine on the air! Some of you might have heard us on www.lonradio.nl the 2nd of September. For those of you who missed it, you will get a second chance. Strychnine will be on www.www.lonradio.nl again on the 16th of September. Two songs will be played as well as an interview with the band. This will all happen in the program zwaardvis and will be broadcasted around 19.15 PM. That's it for now. But keep checking the website, because we plan on updating it more frequently.

We're very proud to introduce our new bassplayer BEN. After some gigs as a substitute bassplayer we decided that he could join the band as a permanent member. We hope you like his sound as much as we do. Come check him out at our gig in Utrecht the 26th.

New URL

If you visit this site regularly you will have noticed that the site has been offline for a few days. We are very sorry for this, but we've experienced some problems. The good news is that we're back and now with a new .nl URL. So from now on you can reach our website through: www.strychnine.nl Besides the fact that this is much easier to remember, the other advantage is that we now got rid of that frustrating commercial banner in front of our site. Another positive thing to mention is that we found a bassplayer prepared to termporary fill in Remko's place at the upcoming gigs. We are however still looking for new permanent bassplayer. Candidates can still apply by sending an e-mail to info@strychnine.nl. We hope to announce our new bassplayer as soon as possible. Stay tuned.

Remko leaves the band

Unfortunately this newsitem is about the departure of Remko as a member of Strychnine. "It appeared that our visions about the band differed to much. We're sad to see him leave, but Strychnine will remain", stated Ernesto. The scheduled gigs will take place as planned. We're trying to find a temporary substitute bassplayer for these gigs. Meanwhile we will focus on finding a bassplayer, as a new permanent member of Strychnine. Candidates can apply by sending an e-mail to info@strychnine.nl. Thanks for the support.

Extra attention

We would like to create some extra attention for our gig on the 4th of march at the LVP. The local government of Leiden has plans to shut down the LVP and the Q-Bus. This will mean that a lot of bands including Strychnine will lose their practice space and the Q-Bus as a venue to do gigs. On the 4th of March their will be an evening organized as a protest to the governmental plans. All the bands practicing at the LVP including Strychnine will perform this evening. It is important that all you music lovers out there will come to this evening to let them know that the LVP/Q-Bus will have to remain. Besides this it will of course be a rocking evening, guaranteed. Hope to see you all there!

Demo

Our new demo is finally finished. It contains six songs, three from the old demo and three new recorded songs. You can download a full song as well as fragments from the other songs at the music section of this site. You can also order the demo by sending an e-mail to strychnine_stonerrock@hotmail.com. It will cost you only 5 euro, which is including shipment costs. Of course the demo will also be sold at our gigs. Keep checking the gigs section for we are getting more gigs as a result of our new demo.

Emergenza

Strychnine will play on the emergenza festival the 4th of january in the Winston in Amsterdam. Tickets are €8,50 and available via us. Mail to strychnine_stonerrock@hotmail.com. For everybody who is planning to come to the join on the 17th of december, make sure you're there at 21:45, cause that's the time the first band will play. And the first band will be... Strychnine.

We're proud to announce are upcoming gig in December in the Baroeg, Rotterdam (11-December-15.00). We will be supporting Toner Low and Dozer, make sure you're not going to miss this one. On the 17th of December we will also treat the Join in Noordwijk to some sleazy stonerrock. See you there.

Finishing Demo

Strychnine has finally finished the recording sessions for the upcoming demo. The recording sessions are now being mixed. The demo will be sent to venue's in order to gain more gigs in the future. However, there are also plans to release a compilation of songs on a disc that will be sold at our gigs. For now, we're very pleased to announce our upcoming performance at the Rockblock weekend in Leiden. Time and date will be announced soon.

Recording new Demo	12-04-2005
Strychnine has been in the studio on the second of April to record some new stuff for an upcoming demo. However we're planning some extra studio time in order to do some re-recordings. We can therefore not yet give you specific information about the demo. To be continued...

The fact that you're reading this, means that our new website is online. The old website was designed by our own Remko but we felt it could be done better, so we hired somebody who had a little bit more experience in building websites. It resulted in the website you're now looking at. Feel free to explore, and put all your comment in our guestbook, be a little bit mercy full when you do so.
